Unit 7 Blog CM 229-03

Merry Christmas!!!!! I am sitting here with my hunny bunny watching Kalifornia, we just put the baby to sleep and are enjoying some quiet time. I got bored so decided to do this blog and get it over with.

I love peer reviews. Well to be more specific, I like to hear responses from me peers about my work. To me constructive criticism is a great way to learn new things. Also, when someone compliments my work I feel so great about myself and the effort that I put into my paper. I am very bad with grammar and punctuation so having someone look over my papers helps me in that area for sure.

That's it for me, Happy Holidays!

Unit 6 Blog CM 229-03

Hello all!

Well I am currently in Timberline, West Virginia in a cabin with my honey bunch just relaxing. We went skiing today, well he snow boarded and so did I till I got tired of falling. Then I jumped on skis and had a blast! My mother-in-law took our son for the night so I get some much needed alone time with my husband. Too bad a seminar tonight has to cut into it. Well I'm multitasking right now so I'll jump into this blog.

These past 6 weeks have been a challenge for me. It is hard to juggle family, school, and everything that I need to do everyday. Then the holiday's do not make things any easier on me. I truly believe that men have it much much easier than women. I have been having trouble with my son because with my husbands return home he has been very needy and possessive of me. Instead of asking his daddy for juice he will ask me and freak out if I don't do it. School is going fine for me though. I am doing very well so far and with this being my last term in the school year, I have to get my clinical paperwork done before the end of January and get my CPR certification. I don't think they should charge you so much for a class that people take to help save lives. How much is a life worth? $80 for a CPR class, man oh man. Well everyone, I have to cut this off now. It's time for my A & P class then off to the hot tub. I took some pretty hard falls today and my knee is so messed up. See you all in seminar!

Unit 5 Blog CM 229-03

WOO HOO MID TERM IS HERE!!!!!
So is the holiday's, I just made pumpkin rolls last night. One for us at home and one for my husbands soldiers. They love my cooking. :) We have a new puppy, for our son of course. It's a boxer, he is just the cutest alien looking thing in the world. We named him Achilles, because my husband is all about bad arse Grecian dudes since he saw 300. Well onto the blog:

The one thing that is creating an academic challenge for me is the holiday's. I know that sounds weird but any woman should know how I feel, lol. There is just so much to do on top of what I already have to get done everyday. We are going to be going to Cali next week and I am rushing to try and get my Unit 6 projects done so I can spend time with my family, I only get to see them once a year (maybe). Then there's the fact that I am having problems with my financial aid advisor, which adds to the holiday stress. Some day's I get burned out and have to lock myself in a room to get any school done. I just know that in the end it will all be worth it and I can't wait for that time.

Well everyone, I will see you in seminar on Wed. Have a good week and Happy Holiday's, hopefully your having a better time, lol.

Unit 4 Blog CM 229-03

Well another week. I am starting to get to work on my paper for this class. It's hard to find the words for most things I want to write. I rather dislike writing papers, but when I get started man I get going with it LOL.

The topic I chose to write about is "What would you do if someone used something you created without giving you credit?". Well I know exactly how I would react, I would be furious! I would probably say something publicly as well to hurt them. I have had an idea "plagiarized" that was mine when I was in the Army. Although I never thought it of it that way when it happened. I guess that I am a vengeful person. If you do something bad to me or someone I care about, then beware of my wrath, lol. I see plagiarism the same as stealing, it's stealing an idea or thought that wasn't yours. It isn't right for anyone to take credit for things that isn't theirs. It's very complicated because it can happen accidentally also.

Well I hope that I made sense. :) I am missing keys from my keyboard so it's really hard to type anything. It took me about 30 minutes to write all this, so I am gonna cut this short. Have a great weekend everyone!

Unit 3 Blog CM 229-03

Hello everyone!

I hope that you all enjoyed your thanksgiving, I was in West Virginia with my family visiting my in-laws. It was a good time, we got a new truck and let me tell you a DVD player on an 8 hour trip is fantastic when you have a small child. Well onto my blog:

I feel that being an online students has its benefits and setbacks. It is hard to communicate with financial adviser's and at times other students. I never want to have my point come across in the wrong way, I am a very assertive person and at times I can come on too strongly to those who don't understand what I am saying. Personally I love being an online student. It gives me time to spend with my husband and son while I am doing courses. I can sit in the living room and work on a paper while my husband is watching football and our son is playing with his trucks on the floor. Also, I am more of a self learner. I believe that I get it from being home schooled for my last part of high school. I seem to learn more when I can get in there and do it myself, instead of waiting for the other students to understand before I get to move on.

Creating a close class community is up to the students. I know for myself that I have made some good friends in this university just from chatting online or on facebook. Most people want to be in an online course because they do not want to deal with the other students or the pressure of making friends. I am open to everyone, I love chatting and having fun. It lets me know more about the students and how they like the online courses as well. So far I have a friends in Texas, Florida, California, and where ever Kathy is from LOL, I keep forgetting.

I wish everyone the best of luck and wish you all Happy Holidays. I am making a trip to California in a few weeks to visit my family and spend Christmas with my dad. Last Christmas we spent together was when I was 11, so it's going to be great! Then after 2 weeks in Cali were going back to WV again to go skiing!!!! I am so excited! Thank goodness for that winter break. Well I am going to go now, my husband will be home from work soon and is probably hungry so it's time to make some lunch. See y'all in class. :)

Not a morning person.....

Hello all!

Well my husband just left for work, but not before pouncing on the bed to wake me up. I am not exactly the nicest person in the mornings, so of course I bit his head off and got a puppy dog face afterwards. We made a deal that I would finish as much school work as possible, so that we can spend time together once he gets home. It's a good deal just 7am seems so early! After waking up at 4:30am for 2 years straight I think I am apt to a little sleep in time. Especially since my sleep in is 8am. I already miss my honey bunches and he has been gone for about 30 minutes. It is so nice having him home. It's almost like he never left now, everything is perfect again. With one exception, our son is extremely possessive of me. He freaks out whenever my husband touches me. It's cute sometimes, like when he punched his daddy in the arm because my husband was tickling me and our son thought he was hurting me. When he freaks out because we sleep in the same bed though, that's pretty annoying. Funny, but annoying. Poor baby has to get used to big changes after a year with only Momma. Speaking of my son he just woke up, so it is time to end this blog for now. Hope you enjoyed my rambling, have a good morning!

Unit 2 Blog

Hello fellow bloggers! Well I am happy to say that after a year in Iraq my husband finally came home at 3 am Tuesday morning. I am busy spending time with him and trying to get used to having a man back in the house. At least I am not gonna have to worry about the trash getting taken out anymore. LOL. Anyways we just finished easting a breakfast feast, I missed cooking for him. Well this is where I am going to end it, we have a lot of lost time to make up for as a family and I can't wait to get started!

Last thing: I would like to thank my fellow military wives and soldiers for everything that you do, the sacrifices that you make are huge and I wish that there was a way to ease the pain of a deployment. Good luck and God bless!

Unit 1 Blog CM229-03

Well today is the first day of term 3 in school. I am pretty optimistic about my classes. Last term I took 3 classes and that was pretty rough on me, I didn't have time to do anything for myself or my son. This term I am taking things easier especially since my husband will be home from Iraq on Sunday. I really can't wait, he has been gone for a year! This whole blogging thing is very new to me, I am not entirely sure of what I am supposed to write about. Hopefully this is good enough for Unit 1.
